by Lindsay H. on The East Side Show Room takes a bold, beautiful chance by doing something unique and standing by it, despite the high percentage of restaurants that fail. I brought one of my favorite foodie friends from Denver last night and he had an unbelievable experience. The Charcuterie, the Tom Collins made with artesian vodka and fresh squeezed juice... The pulled pork, the roasted chicken... we were in heaven. The showroom is clearly a labor of love. Every detail demonstrates thoughtfulness and taste and the passion of a team that rolled up their sleeves to create their dream restaurant. Outside, my friend and I had the pleasure of meeting Sonya, the chef. She was earnest and delightful and clearly passionate about her work, and her restaurant. She would have to be to sweat it out in her teeny kitchen, putting out plate after beautiful plate. I will definitely frequent this place for a long time to come.
by Todd I. on I have been visiting Frank and the 21 Club for almost 20 year - it is a mandatory visit everytime I go to the Warfield. This bar is not for everyone - it is in the middle of the TL, the bathrooms are in need of some 'attention'.. My wife does not like this bar - I love it. A solid jukebox, cans of spam, strong drinks - what is not to like?
by Andrew Laper on Best to come here wasted. Or go there really early and get wasted. Either way the place for some reason or another is better "wasted". That way you are not as likely to remember or notice the other people there, the cheesy music or the fact that you got on a table top and danced like a drunk sorority girl at a frat party. This might sound like a negative review, but I can assure you it is not. The place is fun, the music is cheesy and the people, well not the best looking crowd, but does it really matter when you are that drunk ?
