Really though, we went here on a Thurs night after dinner around the corner, and it was really crowded when we arrived (it thinned out considerably after midnight). The crowd in there is typical of the Meatpacking district, if you know what I mean. I have to say, aside from the lovely bartenders and the alcohol in my glass, there's not much I liked about this place. Some of the people in there are downright lame, esp the woman who was back-to-back with my friend, who was sitting on a bar stool, and kept trying to share his seat with him, uninvited. And then there was the group of Euro-trash girls who kept trying to squeeze themselves up to the bar without even a thought about the people they were pushing around. One of them nearly knocked me out of my chair, and after a quick "oops" she says "get over it!". Um, yah, I'm over this place. The extra star is for the bartenders, nothing else.
by Philip Bir on He says : We took a group of about 14 here after a dinner. We got there earlier - about 10 pm - to avoid waiting in lines. They let us in with no problem although we did have a 1 - 1 ratio of girls to guys. Many of us took the slide to get down. It's no kiddie slide and actually it can be a little rough going down. It was pretty fun though!! =) The decor inside is nice although there isn't a place to sit down unless you buy a table. I can't complain about the crowd - they didn't bother us and most were friendly. Our single friends didn't complain about the opposite sex. The drinks were priced about right and I never waited too long to get a drink. The music was a good mix of mostly hip-hop and some house. One of the things we liked about the club was the entrance fee. THERE WASN'T ONE!!! A couple of our friends (guys) did try to get in at about 12:30 and the girls had to help them get in. I have mixed feelings about this kind of practice. The club was CROWDED at that time. The ratio of girls to guys there was easliy 2-1. They don't charge an entrance fee.....so is it bad to give the guy $5 at the door? Also, the two guys weren't really dressed to impress which shouldn't matter...but it never hurts. I'll be back....if "she says" is there and it's early! She Says: Where the women are, the men will follow. It's not always the friendliest approach to opening a club, but it's the realist. I'm bias, being on the female end. So groups of manly men should probably go elsewhere unless they plan on getting a table. Decor is swanky and may just do the trick. The slide is a must try but STEEP. As noted before, no heels or skirts as it is serious business. Good times if you are in a good mood.
