They have some "performers" who dance on the front bar area. 3 Micheal Jackson shows a night. The drinks are boring and WAY OVER PRICED. 1 drink minimum per music set! If you are here for the show, then all good. Everything else is over priced.
by Andrew Ohms on You don't so much go to the Varsity for the food as much as the experience....WHATEVUH I don't know why the Varsity has stayed open for so long and has the reputation it does. The food is ok. I've had better dogs at the joints where I grew up. I remember that it was pretty exciting coming to the Varsity when I was on a field trip to the Zoo or something. Of course, the whole city was fascinating to me. Sonic's dogs blow them away but it doesn't have the atmosphere or the hype. I think that's what it's all about. The Varsity and the city it's in are both masters of self-promotion..
