I start my review of the Philadelphia cheesesteak institution Geno's Steaks with a rhetorical question: "Is this a restaurant or a nightclub?" Geno's is without a doubt the most obnoxious restaurant I have ever seen in my life. The outside of it is painted a hideous orange color and lined with lots of neon signs. My friend and I often joke that you can probably see that place from space. The obnoxiousness on the outside is telling of the entire experience you will have at Geno's, and from their racist, bigoted, and xenophobic owner, Joey Vento. You may recognize Vento's name after sparking a controversy by insisting that all customers speak in English when visiting Geno's. He has also decided to make a bigger ass of himself with ads denouncing immigration on local radio for some reason. When I think about it though, Vento's personal politics and obnoxious building are very indicative of the main reason I hate this place: they care more about being a tourist attraction than actually serving a quality cheesesteak. Geno's is open 24 hours a day and does incredible business thanks to its proximity to the Italian Market, having Pat's Steaks across the street, and a reputation as "the" place to go for an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak. Lets be serious though, if you're actually from Philadelphia, it's a crime that you would go to Geno's because you should know that other, less well-known places are a million times better. If you're a tourist, you should do some research (perhaps on rateclubs?) and find a better place to go. What is fun about visiting a place that always has long lines for a crappy product, and has stupid rules about how to order your food? The meat is of a low quality, the bread is average, the cheese is no different from any other place. Everything about this place bothers me, and I will never go here again as a result. The most annoying thing about Geno's is when ignorant people try to convince me that their steaks are the best in Philadelphia just because it is popular and they have not tried anywhere else. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Right Joey Vento?

Went to Rusty's for the first time last night with a party of 8. We were one of the few guest there, the place was empty for a Saturday night at 8pm. They had only one server helping us and the other occupied table. With that said, our service was very slooow. Our server kept messing up our orders and forgot to bring me my drink. The food was not that great. I've had way better Mexican food. My burrito made me feel heavy and disgusted. I also was a bit dismayed by the B grade they received. Overall I would say, I wouldn't go back.

I love the space and layout of The Park. There are several different themed rooms upstairs and downstairs. My favorite is of course the outside glassed in open air area with trees. It's so enjoyable in the wintertime when it's freezing out, you can feel like you're sitting outside. It's also so cozy by the fireplace. I think this place is a crowd pleaser if you're with a big group. There's tons of space and most nights it's not super crazy packed. You can usually find table in the open air space.
