I see the draw of this place with their eco-friendly design elements. I mean, being green-conscious and eco-friendly is 'in' these days, right? And god knows that the crowd at Greenhouse seemed like they really wanted to be 'in.' The place was like hippy Berkeley meets showy Vegas nightclub. If you're into over-priced drinks poured by too-cool-for-school bartenders, techno/house music and looking for a 'scene' then you might wanna check this place out. Bring cash though, unless you plan to spend a lot of money on drinks. They have a $50 credit card minimum...yeah, $50. And they don't have an ATM machine inside.

Let's not kid ourselves, if you've been here, you know that its hidden behind Niketown in one of those "you're probably gonna get mugged" alleys. Besides that, nice venue! I rolled up there with a couple friends for my homie Jason S.'s birthday, and we got in right before the guestlist closed at 10:30. Coat check was the first thing I saw once I entered, followed by the stairway that led to the club downstairs. Maybe its me, but the lighting on the stairs reminds me of the inside of a Virgin America plane with the purple-esque hue. Once we got downstairs, it was one giant dance floor with VIP sections along the sides. To the right of the stairs was the bar. Don't be fooled by the massive clusterf**k of people at the bar. A good amount of them are just standing around sipping their draaaanks. My homie actually got bottle service and it was pretty baller status. I felt cool being a part of his entourage haha. We pretty much got cranberry/orange & vodkas for most of the night. I like how the club isn't that huge. The dance floor had ample space, and the music was really good too. DJ Panic City did a good job of playing mostly hip-hop/r&b/top 40, with some mashups and some house music (which he incorporated pretty well). I liked the crowd too, except for that one bitch who kept shoving her way to the bar because she wanted her damn Patron shot. I also saw some weird looking couples making out against the pillars too. Good for them. At first it seemed like another sausagefest, but then there was a pretty even guy-to-girl ratio. Moreover, the crowd was a mix of everybody. Not just mostly Asians either. Nothing like downtown SJ haha. The bathroom reminds me of Infusion lounge, since its unisex with separate men and women stalls. The thing is it looks a bit dirtier and not as visually appealing. No Dyson dryers either, but thats ok. Drinks are made well here too. The bartenders fill the glasses to the top, but they're a little pricier than other clubs. Oh well, the drinks were made perfectly. Overall, I had a good time here, considering the people I was with made it even better. I like this venue a lot, and last night Andris Biedrins, Ronny Turiaf, and Marco Belinelli from the Warriors were at the club with groupies/some people I went to high school with. Eh. I'll definitely come back here again someday. Check it out too. Cheerio.

Gotta try the Tofu. I'm not a veg head or anything but, the tofu was off the chain. It was vegan and full of flavor. By this time in the night, I was cut off so I didn't have any drinks. The water was good though! I used to live on Myrtle Street but moved just before Top Flr opened. It's dark, small but cozy, hip, and trendy with out smacking you in the face with it. There's an upstairs area but, I didn't make it that far. The bartender was friendly and held conversation with out being in your business. It was a good balance. The mix of people was a great blend as well. A bonus is that there's a parking lot with plenty of spaces, which can sometimes be hard to find in midtown.
