by Marcella P. on I would never hate a bar that was made for people who try to be like me... I'm a hair stylist so, let me just say..this place is totally not up to code. But, for a cheap bar...it does the trick. Plus, I am more than willing to dance circles all around the hipsters and this is the PERFECT place for such a gratuitous act of attention-getting. You have to go into this place KNOWING it's a franchise and take it for what it's worth...a franchise built ENTIRELY around people you're going to gripe about in your blog (or rateclubs review) the next day. To the people who hate on this place: You knew you'd hate it before you went...so, why'd you go? I'm the Queen of Shameless. So, kiss my dang grits.
by Yvonne Y. on sexy sexy sexy bar meets dark victorian boudoire I would want to move in, but with all the peeps, where would I hang up my boots? This is a place that I could spend all night in lounging and hanging out. The bouncers would have to peel me off the zebra print victorian faux louis seize styled chairs. The owners of this little downtown gem deserve three snaps and a friendly spank for creating a stunning yet comfortable place...seems to have good party feng shui too...
by Robert S. on I came here for the 5th Anniversary Pink Mammoth celebration, and was really excited because I knew they'd be spinning some house music here. I was also excited because there were free drinks until 11pm. Tons of fun and alcohol for $5--I'm ON IT. ON IT, I was. I made sure that after I downed my 5 vodka/pineapple/redbulls for a total of $5 in tip that I would get on top of the little tiny platform where all the hot ladies would usually dance on in a club. At first walking in, I thought the music was a little too low--but they made sure to turn it up as the night progressed and people were bringing in the vibes. I thought the sound system was pretty decent relative to what everyone else is saying here. I've definitely heard better at some venues of the same size, but they definitely got the job done and were by no means bad. The house music sounded good once the crowd was going. The venue itself was a pretty decent size and could fit a lot of people. Plenty of room for dancing as well... My only complaint (which won't be counted against this club since it has nothing to do with the actual club itself) is about the 2 guys who decided it would be fun to sexually molest me while I was having fun dancing my pants off on top of the platform. As I was dancing, I felt someone grab my beeeehind and thought it was a friend so I shrugged it off. Then I realized these 2 guys were doing it while snickering like 12 year olds watching their first porno, so I decided to turn around, face them, and dance with the girl on the other side of me so they would stop. INSTEAD, they reach UNDER the girl's legs and end up grabbing my package. KILLED IT. I was outta there. A-holes. Oh, and one of the bouncers here was creepy too because he kept UNCOMFORTABLY hitting on one of my friends. I had to pretend to be her "man", and he pulls her over, and whispers in her ear, "GIRL, I KNOW THAT AIN'T YO' MAN!" Hey bouncer guy, stick to your job next time. Maybe it'll help give this club a full 5 stars. this club, you can blame this bouncer for your -1. I'm kidding, but seriously...
