Great lunch prix fixe menu and power lunch location. The huge Buddha and water pond provides a breathtaking backdrop for the restaurant. Usually a 10min delay with lunch reservations and about 30min delay with dinner reservations. Drinks are strong and pricy. Bar/lounge area is great for eye candy. Recommend going for lunch rather than dinner.

My Rateclubing sense was all tingling when all of us decided to finally visit the infamous Slide, even though it is notoriously known for its snobby attitude and strict 1 : 1 girl to guy ratio. What can I say, I was blown away by how friendly the bouncer was and how quickly we got in the club at 11:45 am (coming from Etiquette) with about 5 minute waiting in line. Best of all, there wasn't any specific dress code, I was wearing black v neck top, and jeans with white sneakers! Anyway, I was kind enough to tell the two European gentlemen ahead of us that they should give up waiting because they were not accompanied by any female. They indeed took the advice and went to try Swig instead following my advice. What a great way to start Saturday late night! Once we were in, there was the girl telling us the Slide was opened, and GUESS what, all of us were wearing Jeans, and all excited to try the serpentine slide entrance. It was a thrill ride indeed!!! Thanks to my Rateclubing preparation, I had my arms crossed and legs up going down, it was a pure adrenaline rush and I felt perfectly comfortable. My friend Linda was scared but nevertheless all of us slided down safely (The girls were flipped upside down which was pretty funny, please remember the guideline, cross your arms and PULL your legs up), and we were even more fired up to enjoy the unique experience of the bar and dance floor. The atmosphere at Slide is very chic, with arrays of digital images taking up most of the black themed wall. The ceiling lamps are nostalgically done with oval moon shape back in California at 80s (Feels like Harris), offering perfect dim light throughout the floor. The dance floor is spacious, and dedicated to the sophisticated, urbanized clienteles. The music is a variation of 80s, hip pop, and house that go fairly well with the theme. The restrooms here definitely mark the height of sleek, trendy design of night clubs in SF, they are well maintained and very glamorous, with modern sofa padding at each toilet door. The main draw of Slide is its supreme presence of girls that you can't find anywhere else in the bay area. We actually bumped into 6+ft models who were nice enough to take many pictures for all of us. The drinks are decently priced, much to my surprise, and the bartenders are attentive and swift. Even at the peak time we didn't wait for more than 2 minutes to get through our orders. Vodka tonics at $8, and Yeager bomb are $10 each with good portion of Red Bull. The light went up at about 2 am, and it was so fun that I had to drag my friends away from the dance floor to get out. The girls were buzzed, and the guy passed out, what a perfect way to end the spectacular experience here at Slide. (Except I had to drive home with utmost attention though)
