The first and only time I ever went to Manor West was last night (Saturday), so my review is limited, especially in light of the well known fact that most clubs in the city on Sat night leave a lot of space for imagination. Like many other place, this place has a great design and decor, bad music, and out-of-town crowd of early to mid 20's that doesn't exactly create the "vibe." I will have to go on Wed or Thursday night to see if it's any better, as many places that are terrible on weekends are quite good on weekdays.

The only reason I came here was because my bf is a bouncer at Temple by night, and he had the hook up with the restaurant since he knows the servers. Anyways, it's really not one of my favorite places. We came here for dinner. Apparently nobody really knows that this place is restaurant by day, club by night. I hear the club is popular enough, with the count usually being anywhere from 1800 to 2000 people a night on weekends. But there was about 4 other people in the restaurant the night my bf took me. I had absolutely no problem with the food. It was very good, but not worth the ridiculous amount they were charging. Guess they had to make up for the lack of clientele by overcharging. If you're going to go ahead and waste your money at this place, i highly recommend the chicken empanadas. They were absolutely DE-lish and if I had known they would be so good I would have nixed the tuna entree I got and filled up on them. also, the chinese sausage pizza was very tasty. However, no kudos for the decor. I understand that it's a club at night, and it's got a sleek white interior with various buddha and asian statues around the room, but really. I would much rather eat at a place with a wee bit more personality. Maybe choosing to be a restaurant at a place that's also a club was not such a wise choice for the owners. The server, heather, was very friendly. Very sweet girl, but service was incredibly slow considering there was all of 6 or 8 people in the restaurant that night. Would not go again voluntarily, but if someone's paying for dinner, I'm all over it.

I love cosmic disco bowling and to many of my out of town friends this is a foreign if not detestable way to spend your night. It is one step above karaoke for them but in my world (yes I also love karaoke) I could not think of a better way to spend my night than to throw my bowling ball down the lane and hopefully have a dancing turkey show up 3 turns later. Night Strike is so much fun I had to bring my boys out. Twenty bucks is a steep price to pay for bowling but if you went out clubbing, you'd spend just as much. The wait time is super long for a lane but there's a bar available to help pass the time and the house tunes are so freakin loud that you are getting the club/bar/bowling experience all in one. With my favorite Swiss boys Thomy and Zum by my side and a Red Stripe in hand, I had the making of a great night already. Once we got our lane, we played about 3 games before the night was over and we were beat. The neon lights and cool cartoons on the scoreboard are pretty entertaining. Bowlmor Lanes is a great place to hang with friends. Its an interactive night out and one for all the senses.
