by Gavin Stanger on okay so ive been to this place 4 times*** Let me clarify the asterisks. Ive been inside twice and and completely ignored twice. I got in once from a party bus and once was with my friends. The two times i was ignored even though we were literally the first group in line. Both times we waited 1hr 30mins literally the first people in line! 3 guys! wow! serious!? Understandable that our ratio isnt perfectly what they wanted but at least let a few guys in every half hour or so... i was there because my friend was leaving for iraq that same week and he wouldnt even let a solider serving his country in... but for the times that i have been able to get in let me give u the Goods: - club is arranged so it is easy to mingle with people although the dance floor is pretty tiny. - if ur on a party bus, u pretty much go straight in - if ur related to the bouncers or anyone that promotes ur going straight in and that pretty much ends there. the Bad: - 1:1 ratio at least**. They take this to heart. (**see next line) - **doesnt matter if u come with girls, they also have to be pretty (i hear them talking in line to each other," only let the pretty ones go in") -guestlist doesnt matter -The line itself doesnt matter ( doesnt matter if ur the first or last in line) because it doesnt go in order. It can literally go backwards starting from the back to the front. ive seen it with my own eyes. -decor isnt all that great either compared to other clubs ive been to -bouncers and security have a super power trip -theres more to say but im not gonna waste my time. Conclusion: do not support this club or their promoters. ive been to different clubs all over socal. and even vegas clubs doesnt give u as much hassle as this place.
by Deb B. on OPA! Authentic Greek! What a concept! After visiting Greece several years back and having the real thing, it's hard to find a place that makes me go *wow*! The food here came closer than any other. We were in a hurry and the service was very accommodating. We had the Lamb and Half Roasted Chicken. It was YUM! The service was friendly and very nice. I want to try it again when I'm not rushed, to really savor the specialty dishes. So far, they are moving towards 5 stars! I will be a repeat customer!
by Johnathon Feltz on Worth going to at least five times. Come here with an open mind or don't come at all. I guess the venue is not necessarily for everyone, but if you're more focused on vibrant culture, unique peformances, independent artists and an extremely diverse, artistic crowd-go, go go! Poetry slams are sick, I performed here with a youth spoken word group in high school and even though most of us were not well-versed in slam poetry, the atmosphere was ridiculously encouraging. I cannot say enough good things about this place, but if you're objective is to find a see-and-be-seen spot with a fifteen dollar appletini, go elsewhere. If you want a lively, open minded and rousing crowd, this is your place. I only went to one Friday Night Slam and it left me wishing I could be a regular.
