by Amrita J. on So I think Loca Luna is a hit or miss type of place....I've been here on some nights where it was just "eh" and then there are other nights where I just have a blast. My verdict: Food - A Atmosphere- A+/ A- (depending when you go) Live Music/Dancing- A+ Drinks- A++ (Margaritas and Mojitos are both good and strong)
by Tana Citino on Cielo is top notch. Its not too big but still great. Cain has a lot to learn from this place. Cain and Cielo area about the same size, but Cielo is 10x better than Cain, they're not even in the same league. There's a sunken in dance floor, with the DJ booth overlooking the crowd, as well as an outdoor area. The bouncers were really nice, but im sure its a different story when there's a bigger crowd and longer line. Overall: One of my favorites. Cielo is why the little west 12th street area is so much better than the 27th street area. Pro's: Very cool interior, patio area, chill bouncers Con's: I cant really think of any... I ended up going to Cielo because i couldn't get into Tenjune. Thanks to Tenjune's super tough door, i found, in my opinion, one of the best places in NY.
by Patrick O. on Meh, it was OKAY. Me and a fellow guy friend came here in early 2006 when it was super hot and we waited over an hour in line before being let in....best point is... WE WERE FIRST IN LINE! Oh well, it's Hollywood right?? After being passed through one of the "toughest" velvet ropes in the city at the time we were amazed at the friendlyness of the staff and the simplicity of ordering drinks. Had a great time, don't know if it's still the same as our city of angel's nightlife changes from one week to another and the last I looked, the club was becoming more and more ghetto with the doorstaff letting almost ANYONE in to pay the rent on the property... Just my two cents.
