I heard that Boru's had good wings through word of mouth. I ordered a tray before 2PM on Super Bowl Sunday just based off of a friends opinion. I picked up pizzas at a local place and then went to pick up my wings! When I went to pick them up at 5:15 PM I was told they would be ready in 10 minutes, that time passed, I was told 10 more minutes. After 45 minutes, I was told they are not ready yet!!! The owner/manager was rude..... He said "What kind of people order wings at on Superbowl Sunday". I replied only half of America.... he was not nice and has no clue as to how important good customer service is to customers especially this day and age with all of these online review sites. I WILL NEVER ATTEMPT TO TRY THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!

A place for Asian and African-American crowd. Sat night DJs could not get most of the crowd get moving. Sad. We've experienced the same thing some reviews discussed here: get on their Velvet list, arrived at the time they suggested; though inside was practically empty, they kept the "guest list" line during a 10 degree winter night for about 10'; when we got in, instead of "no-cover for ladies", both man and woman were charged for $15 each (yes true to their advertisement somewhat, it was "reduced" for gents though not true to their bigger font ad - Free with RSVP.)  After I paid up, and said hello and other niceties to the ticket person, I told her our experience and other rateclubs reviewers about this seemingly tricky way to invite people

Rise. The name conjured images of a magical, mythical place. I had heard so many tall tales, so many seemingly hyperbolic stories about the only 'afterhours' spot in the 617. They were passed through hushed whispers, behind closed doors, in drunken slurs post-2am. Being the club girl I am, I knew I had to try it out. I HAD TO. Apparently, I haven't experienced Boston nightlife until I've danced until the early morning hours at Rise. So after some 1:30am pregaming at Daisy Buchanan's (that involved rounds and rounds of free shots, don't judge me!), I was dragged to the ever-elusive Rise. After a sloppy taxi ride and a $20 cover, my stumbling self finally entered the Holy Land. Pounding strobe lights. Sensuous, writhing bodies. Nonstop uhn-tiss-uhn-tiss. Red Bull-flavored kisses. Flashes of sequins, leather, and striped button-ups. Barrage of colors, fog, music, people. Glimpses of sunlight. Perilous Jimmy-Choo threatening journey home. So fast forward to around 8am. I have just awoken from a one-hour power nap (yeah, I'm quite the rockstar), and dragged myself from my makeup-stained, vodka-reeking bedsheets to my laptop, swearing to spread the word to my lovely Boston rateclubsers. Along the way, I pass a mirror, and I gasp in shock/horror/pride at my state of affairs. I may or may not have glitter in my hair, I have Jon's (?) phone number scribbled on my hand, and my left ankle is throbbing grotesquely from dancing all night/morning. Oh, Rise. You help me cement my place as #1 Hot Mess of Boston :)

This was actually the first time I have ever ate ethiopian, so when I compare to othe places at a later date, my rating may change. We ordered the veggie platter and the meat platter (spicy chicken and lamb). It was really good, especially the lamb and chicken, but I was expecting it to be spicier...maybe ethiopian food just isn't that spicy? The veggie sides/lentils were all excellent, but the portions were a little small. BTW, am I the only one who finds it a little F'd up to eat an endless supply of this delicious food, with a serious food shortage/starving children epidemic in Ethiopia? I felt guilty.
