by Magnolia Burglin on can't beat this place if you want a laid back atmosphere and good/great hip hop music. no cover if you go early ($5 if you go late - after 11pm). cheap drinks - $5 average, unheard of in NYC! it is small, but the music and the vibe make grooving in a cramped space worth it!
by Marcene Flebbe on i felt a little old at this place but that's my problem not theirs. they remodel this place from the last time i went and it looks good. nice huge dance floor with a little platform for those who want to dance up the ramp. i like how big this place is and how u can play pool, sit down and enjoy the view, or get your dance on. i would recommend this place for a group outing to go dancing. the only scary thing is the stairs u have to go up to this bar on the 2nd floor. thank goodness i wasn't drunk cuz i'd be afraid i'd tumble down the stairs.
by Pete and Mel R. on I guess if you're going to a place like Dante's, you are really going as much for the experience as for the food. It was definitely fun. We paid extra to sit on the pirate ship. I mean, how often do you get to dine on a pirate ship?!?! We were there on a Friday evening so there was live music and that was really lovely. The food was good. Nothing to complain about, but certainly nothing to rave about either. It was a good time, but a bit expensive. Overall, I'd say that Dante's is more about the experience than the food, but I can't say that I'm too interested in returning.
