by Whitney R. on I went to Estate for a girlfriend's bachelorette party last Saturday. Luckily, we didn't stay for long. The music sounded like the DJ had ADHD- each song was played for only 30 seconds to 1 minute (not even the highlight or catchy part) before poorly transitioning to the next. Watching the crowd try to dance was probably the highlight of my night, since the songs weren't beat-matched and every switch required readjusting your dance tempo. I was especially surprised at how lame it was since it was the night that Mario Lopez was going to be there (this is definitely not why we went, for the record!!). You'd think that having a celebrity present would inspire them to at least play good music. Not to mention that the drinks are ridiculously expensive (one girl bought three mix drinks for $35). It's safe to say that I will not be returning to Estate. Ever.
by Tonia Uimari on Favorite bar in NYC without a doubt! Go early to relax. Go late to dance. The food is delicious too. I would avoid going in the rain unless you get a kick out of watching people scream and run for cover. :)
