Apparently, this is the spot to go if your korean and in ktown to go clubbing ... I wasn't either of those, but we ended up here anyways with a bunch of girls. We got lucky and didn't have to wait in line, or pay after 1AM! So that was sweet ... Once in, I was greeted with the sweat and heat of dancing bodies ..packed like sardines. Near naked girls were hanging off the ceiling, twirling like flying ballerinas. We pushed our way towards the front and tried to dance, but it was just too crazy ... Really loud house music, steep drinks, and tons of people ... it would've been an okay night if it wasn't for rude people, especially girls, pushing with attitude. I had to push some people back a couple of times because i was sick of girls pushing and being rude about it. After awhile though, the crowd started dieing out, and by 3, it was nice and spacious. We danced all night =) Overall though, "Meh ...i've experienced better .."

Last night, I dreamt I went to a crazy, no-holds-barred, Jersey shore-themed party... only it took place in one of Philly's classiest, most heralded restaurants, Zahav. The large, bright space was cleared of its tables, and all of the staff members were transported from a late 80s Def Leppard concert, with big hair and stonewashed denim as far as the eye could see. When I glanced into the open kitchen area, I almost pinched myself (but didn't because then I would have had to wake up). There stood some of Philadelphia's most notorious chefs, elbow to elbow, preparing delicious renditions of Jersey shore staples such as juicy hamburgers, spicy pizza turnovers, garlicky fried clams and savory crab boils. To wash it all down? Miller Lite and Miller High Life pounders, sold straight out of a wheeled ice bucket, natch. The pièce de résistance? A Journey cover band that also dedicated plenty of play time to Jersey boys Jon Bon Jovi and Bruuuuuuce. This morning, after turning off the alarm and sleepily sitting up in bed, I noticed the blue stamp on my hand. The epic party from my dreams was real!!!

My friend had her 24th Barbie themed birthday party here and it was actually a lot of fun. We had 4 or 5 tables, essentially one entire corner of the upstairs, and our cocktail waitress was great! Because so many tables had been booked for the party I didn't have to pay to get in, which was wonderful! The club was also really good about letting us bring in outside food, cupcakes, for the bday celebration. The crowd was interesting. Quite a few Eastern Europeans it seemed.... some still seemed to believe they were still in Europe cause dude starts smoking a cig right next to me. Unless he was planning on paying for the dry cleaning for my vintage 80's prom dress that took me almost three months to find, that was just not going to fly. So I simply tapped him on his shoulder, pointed to the cig and shook my head. Thankfully he got the point. Other than that and a few spilled drinks which landed directly on my strappy sandal clad feet (come on, really?) the night was a huge success. The liquor was flowing, thanks to my friends boyfriend and his friends, the music was hot and so were many of the men. All in all it was a great night! Not sure I'd go back unless I was getting in/drinking for free, from what other people said it's a tad expensive, but it's definitely somewhere I'd go if I wasn't paying!
