by Ben Thare Dunnit on for starters, the prices are the lowest in town, cosmos don't come top shelf, 2)there is no food served at the Bottom unless locals do a cookout, or Al brings in Chili and Hotdogs. 3)Unless there is Karaoke or a libe band, music is played from a jukebox by custermers. So the reviews on this site must are bogus(sp) and probably fictiosly palced on here by the ad group.
by Peace L. on This is not a review of the restaurant, but rather the party kept downstairs. The drinks are grossly overpriced and after one cosmo I became nauseous and ill. Yes, I am well aware of the danger in ordering a drink without specifying top shelf liquor. However, I have never had such a lousy reaction to house liquor, particularly at that price point. Music was decent, it gets more crowded as the night wears on, but I can't help but feel cheated by my experience with the bar.
by Matt S. on these four stars are for the food and for the atmosphere when it's not leading its shadow life as a shitty club on saturdays. I hate clubbing. they really ramped up the menu during the last year and a half I lived in Boston. my standby when I wasn't really hungry but just wanted some quick grub to sop up a couple of pints was the curry and chips (always with a roll). outstanding. I remember good burgers and fish n' chips. there was something else I used to order (I wanna say bangers n' mash, but I was more likely to get those at cornwall's). still, a great place for a guinness or a manhattan while you watched the sox. I miss it. baseball teams and fans in chicago wear the wrong color sox.
by Freddie Tadeo on Great place to head dancing after you've had some drinks. Music is a nice mix of hip hop and reggae classics as well as modern stuff. They charge a cover later at night. Definitely head there when you can. I'l be going back again. It's a small place and floor and gets very crowded though, so be warned. Other than that, the place is just great.
