How many places named "Slice" are there in Atlanta?! And are they all within a couple of miles of each other? I went on the last day of the Scoutmob deal, and clearly thought I was going to a different place...it took us FOREVER to find it.(look down the side street for Sidebar-it's right next door.) I must say, though, we were pleasantly surprised when we did! The place itself is nice...exposed brick and big screens; lots of room; great juke box. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is pretty good...really thin, good sized slices with just enough substance to handle a couple of toppings (I'm usually a virgin slice girl-just cheese); thick, tomatoey sauce and just the right amount of broiled cheese topping homestyle meatballs (chunks of garlic! Yay!) make the meatball sub just yummy. The roast beef sub was good, but nothing special; tasty but not outstanding. Slice is a cool little place, once you find it. They have live music every other Friday, and I can see this place jumpin' with a bunch of happy people hangin' out!

Towards the end of our meal, our waiter asked if we would so kindly move to the lounge area so they could seat others. I thought this was totally rude, until I realized that we had been boozing for over 3 hours! Wow, time flies when you are downing bottomless mimosas. My goal was to drink 7 mimosas but I actually exceeded that goal and finished 8! I love it when I am capable of such feats. The spark plugs were also pretty good. Not super delicious since the first one made me choke since it was warm, but that didn't stop me from doing another one. So, 8 mimosas and 2 shots later, I was ready to start my day! And, they also serve food. The frittata was pretty amazing with the fresh veggies and cheese, served with two slices of thick bacon and potatoes. Their potatoes are delicious since they are crispy. No one likes soggy potatoes. And, the biscuit-like bread that they bring out before the meal along with jam was tasty as well.

good place to get away from the douchbaggery that is Old City... No cover, good drinks (local and imports) on the beer side. Some cleverly named mixed drinks... Music is usually decent and the staff are for the most part always on top of things (always ask for annie)... the food is good, and the price is right. A favorite place for a late dinner... just get inside before 9 during weekends it gets crowded and parking is always a Bi*ch... I feel that I must give them bonus points for the unique style and decor. P.S. 1st bathroom on the right has a original Jeremy Fish print! score!
