I had a good time here, drinks were high priced, but really, I dare someone to show me a nightclub with cheep drinks. Pretty cool crowd, I was there for a show, Bonobo. I did have to wait in line for some time, but there was a limited number of tickets (venue cap. I believe) Bouncers were friendly. Nice large convenient smoking area. Pretty good sound quality, I would come here for another show.

"Nobody puts baby in the corner..." If I can go out, party, and write a review in the same night then you must know it was HORRIBLE and I need to vent!! *************NIGHTLIFE VENUE ONLY****************** Coming from girl who LOVES the nightlife, I'd rather stay home than spend another night at Medjools. Tonight was my second attendance here - first time was a little over a year ago and tonight marks my second time here. As my friend and I have become accustomed to getting table service on an almost weekly basis, we seem to expect the same amount of service everywhere we go... CROWD: Element, Synergy, and in house promotions. The crowd was mixed but being it was promoted by Element and Synergy, the crowd was predominately Asian. BOTTLE SERVICE: I had requested a table on the dance floor and my fav host Stella said she would see if it could be done. As we were walked up to our table, we were seated at the LAST table in the back corner of the second floor...NO WHERE NEAR the dance floor!! We were livid and asked to be moved. As one of the Synergy hostesses asked one of the Medjools workers if we could move, the Medjools worker (some blonde girl) RUDELY said that it was up to them because it was one of the promotion companies that did the seating chart. The Synergy hostess stated that we wanted a dance floor table and the Medjools worker quickly replied "NO CAN DO, bottle service is ONLY on the second floor"...as 20 minutes went by, an Element promoter came up and told us that the bottom tables were taken, but he'd be happy to move us to another table (wtf beezy, you just told me that there were NO tables for bottle service tables on the first floor). We were seated at another table but note: bottle service attendees rarely come around to check on you and the cranberry backs taste like water with food coloring... BAR: 1 bar on the first level, 1 bar on the second level. $9 for a shot of Hennessy. They do not have Remy or Grey Goose (Belvedere instead). Note to the bartender upstairs: your bar is shaped like a "U", therefore customers are all around you and not just in front of you! VENUE: There is a generous size dance floor on the first floor, a bar on the first floor, bar on second floor, and a sky terrace on the top floor (I believe it's the 5th?). It gets HOT and seriously, wtf leaked from the pipes to our table?! So NOT sanitary!! Oh yeah, and for you smokers...Apparently you're kicked out at the second floor balcony second at a certain time and forced to wait for the hella slow elevator or walk your butt up a couple of flights of stairs... BATHROOMS: More like lack of!! First floor - 2 stalls in the women's restroom. Second floor - one woman's restroom. Sky terrace - one woman's restroom. Medjools - NEVER AGAIN!! I'd rather spend my Saturday night at home than with you...

After trudging over here from the 8th avenue station, I was wondering where in the hell was my friend bringing me. I know it's your birthday, but this better be good. And it was. We didn't have reservations, but the hostess was very gracious and allowed us to commandeer a bunch of tables so we'd have out own seating area. The beer and booze is cheap, the food simple and good and the ambiance perfect for an end of summer birthday get-together. I watched the sun set, petted the various dogs that were there with their owners and enjoyed the night view of the city. If you're not afraid of heights or rocking boats, I recommend going to the top deck - the panoramic view is awesome and it's kinda romantic. Hooray beer!
