by Erwin Bambrick on My friend LL wanted to party here for her bday last night. Visionshock was having a hat theme that night. The music was alright. Asian crowd on fridays. Overall the experience was ok. We waited in line for about 20 mins, didnt get packed until 1130.
by John Eric S. on Maybe I just have an affinity for bars with three-letter-names, but BOB was the shiz... checked it out with a few buddies who live nearby on a weeknight and was impressed. It's not a huge spot-- actually the bar itself is pretty small and seats maybe 4 people in front of it at one time (think Otis, but smaller). Decor was pretty raw, nothing fancy, high tech or state of the art. But the place had a good energy. Other guests were unpretentious, friendly, down to earth. The DJ was bumping some West Coast rap that hadn't even gotten on the radio in NYC yet (but was already popular on the West Coast). There wasn't a cover. And the drinks were reasonably priced. This is a spot that if I ever moved to NYC I could see myself being a regular at.
