by Lavern Hark on Sometimes this place is horrible, empty, and insignificant. However, I have also had some decent and fun times here. On new years, this place was jam packed, no place to move let alone walk. The coat check took an hour. The bathroom line another hour. Forget about getting anything from the bar. But it was an 18 and over night, and I guess thats why the crowd was such a mess. I also came here for circus Saturdays (21 and over). I would have to say, I had a blast. The club was full but still spacious. The music was on target and the performances made it kinda over the top. Me and my friends dance for hours and also got great service. The one negative that will always happen, is that guys at this club seem like seagulls looking for food. They are super handsy and pushy for girls to dance with them. Sometimes it forced upon girls. Its a complete turn off.
by Luella Grunau on MJQ is the antithesis to the so called "young Hollywood" club scene in Atlanta, which is exactly why I loved it! I had been hearing about MJQ for a while and I was more than ready to check it out. My friends and I fell through on a Fri night. $5 to park, $5 to get in, we were already starting on a good note. We were there a little before 12, so people were still arriving. We took advantage of the sparse crowd and grabbed drinks and a seat along the wall. By the time we finished with round the crowd was starting to get thick, so we headed to the dance floor. The music was amazing all night. Old school rap, funk, r&b, house, reggae/ dancehall, we never stopped dancing! I ended up sweating out my hair by the end of the night. The crowd was an eclectic mix like everyone said. Everybody was just there to dance and have a good time. As long as your not claustrophobic or hate smoke, you will definitely have a good time here.
