by Lin Delmar on Funny place. Basically the "Papa's & Beer" of South Beach for all of you southern cal. A lot of different fruity drinks and they have signature fresh Mojito's. I had the best one of my life here. The best part is all of the severs are dressed up and throughout the night they get up on the bar and dance. Its pretty fun and interesting at the same time. If you are in South Beach, you really need to stop here and have at least a drink. Its worth it just for the people watching.
by Kevin C. on It's always on at one of the last bastions of real hip hop boogie downs. The DJs are always on point- no radio wackness allowed! Haul and Mason threw down an incredible set the first time I came here. Catching live emcees is always a plus (Medusa is sick wit it)... and any joint where cute hipster chicks enjoy shakin' it to Eric B. and Rakim instead of Yung Joc automatically rates fire. Speaking of radio wackness, what's up with that new "Party Like a Rock Star" track? Like totally dude! Er, like totally weak!
by Ciao H. on I love this place, the owner knows how to run a club. There's no alcohol which means that there's minimal drunk ya-dudes sweating on you. There's no drug sketchiness going on. The members-only policy keeps the riffraff out (you can get in if you know a member), the sound is banging (old farts, take note: bring earplugs) the lighting is superb. The deejays are decent to great (heavier and faster upstairs, more chill and quieter downstairs with comfy seating). Fridays the crowd is a mix of gay and straight, mostly straight. Haven't been on Saturdays but last time I was there on a Sunday night it was wall to wall gay male naked torsos. I never felt so safe in my life. I had a blast but my straight boyfriend, to his startled bemusement, got his crotch grabbed. So, now you know what to expect if you go there on a Sunday and you like girls. A great place for afterhours techknow and dancing.
