by Myles Ciesluk on Way way way too LOUD. Not just club-loud, but painful-loud. Especially in the bar area. The old Buddha Bar was relatively mellow. Their music was so wonderful that they sold cds at the club/restaurant. Wonderful. To call Ajna disappointing is an understatement. Contrast with my recent late night experience at Lavo where they had an amazing DJ and while it was too loud to talk, it was great for dancing and not painfully loud (that is what I call "club-loud").
by Todd P. on I had brunch at Parish eons ago and have been meaning to get back for dinner. Luckily, they had a Groupon special so I had no more excuses! While waiting for a friend to arrive, I sat at the bar and had a "Bees Knees" cocktail, a delicious concoction with gin, honey, and soda. They had a musician playing jazz/blues tunes on his electric piano which was cool. After my bud arrived, we were seated and started with an order of their Creole frites as an appetizer: deep fried veggies with some tasty remoulade dipping sauce. Some of the green beans were kind of stringy (seemed almost asparagus-ish), but other than that we made the basket disappear pretty quickly. For me, the deep fried dill pickle bits were the best. For my entree, I had the stuffed catfish. Hefty portion, with craw fish in the stuffing, nicely prepared. I'm curious to try their TV Dinner set menu sometime. Fun concept. I'll be back, I'm sure.
by Armando Mobilio on I've been to Aja several times, and had a great time every time. The food we've tried was excellent and we enjoyed the decor inside and on the patio. The staff is very helpful and friendly. David and Jimmy made it a special night for us when we sat at the sushi bar. We also enjoy the $5 sushi rolls on Monday. Great place!
