I am a huge fan of this place. Its sleek, its sexy, its modern, its discrete. Well, sorata discrete. There is a DJ spinning tunes in the middle of the dining room (and this was on a Sunday night!). The lounge is very nicely laid out, good service. Not sure how it works as an all out nightclub, but it should have plenty of room if nothing else. We ordered drinks in the lounge as we awaited our table. They were tasty if not really expensive. The dining room is very well laid out; big cool buddha on one end, low lighitng everywhere. I ordered a divine Sea Bass, accompanied by a mish mash of vegetables. I would comment on what my friend had, but it escapes me. It was well received though. I think it was sushi. The place is not cheap but its a great alternative when you're in Meatpacking and don't feel like the same ol Pastis/Spice Market ordeal.

Maybe I just have an affinity for bars with three-letter-names, but BOB was the shiz... checked it out with a few buddies who live nearby on a weeknight and was impressed. It's not a huge spot-- actually the bar itself is pretty small and seats maybe 4 people in front of it at one time (think Otis, but smaller). Decor was pretty raw, nothing fancy, high tech or state of the art. But the place had a good energy. Other guests were unpretentious, friendly, down to earth. The DJ was bumping some West Coast rap that hadn't even gotten on the radio in NYC yet (but was already popular on the West Coast). There wasn't a cover. And the drinks were reasonably priced. This is a spot that if I ever moved to NYC I could see myself being a regular at.

Since I'm over 21, I'm too old to hang out in the bar upstairs :), but I have been to the restaurant on the 1st floor many-a-time for their delicious and cheap lunch specials! For ~$6.50 you can get rice with veggies & shrimp plus an egg roll - and of course free tea. Very simple and nothing to go ga-ga over, but a tasty & cheap lunch option (tough to find both in Harvard Sq.).
