We can't get in there because they just allow a specific color and nationality. The bouncers said we are not on their guest list. We watched other guess too with a specific color, they did not ask them if they are on the guest list. FYI we came there when they just open about 11 pm, and we were in front of the line. It happened twice already. They really prove it that they are Racist It's very obvious, they are racist...they should write in their website that just let a specific color to enter Lavo...Nasty

The space is a lot smaller than i thought - there is a bar area when you first walk in, and the back room is mostly table seating with a euro scene. Door policy can be strict, so make sure you look stunning if you don't plan to get a table. My friends and I had a great time there and we'd definitely go back for more fun. p.s. I agree with some of the rateclubsers - GoldBar is more of a lounge, so don't expect to dance like you're in a nightclub.
by Jackqueline Deatley on Went to Golden Temple with two girlfriends for lunch over the weekend. It was a really nice time for the most part. In terms of the atmosphere, it was perfect for us at the time, because i think we were one of maybe 5 parties in the restaurant, so it was quiet and relaxing. We didn't feel rushed at all, and the service, though a little confused was fine. The reason I am opting for 3 stars is for the bland food. Well, not all the food was bland. I would definitely recommend the chicken dumplings, they were really fantastic, and one of my friends got the sweet and sour soup, which I normally don't like, but it was actually delicious! For our main courses we ordered gingered chicken, green tea noodles with veggies, and moo shoo (sp?) chicken. Out of all of them, the moo shoo was really by far the best. They wrap it for you at the table which is always fun. All in all some of the food was really great, some was mediocre. I think that we ordered the wrong dishes - and I will definitely try it again in the hopes that some of the other main dishes are as incredible as the chicken dumplings.
