This is a great place to go if you're looking for large portions of Italian comfort food. It is a chain restaurant, but I didn't really get that vibe. We did one of the family style deals: 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 4 entrees, 2 desserts for $26.95 a person. It was a huge amount of food for 4 people and we had a large amount of food to take home after. It looked like they had a pretty large wine/beer/mixed drink selection. On a side note, I was surprised when we finished our appetizers and our waiter asked us if we wanted MORE! I guess they do refills of food even on appetizers. That's nearly unheard of.

My first this club experience was this club good! We went to see Matthew Dear & Monocle for a fantastic night of proper minimal techno and tech-house. The space was perfect - just large enough to get a good club experience yet small enough to maintain an intimate vibe. The staff was friendly, bartenders were attentive, and the venue stays open til 4am which is a bit later than most places do in San Francisco. I'm still trying to get used to everything shutting down at 2am in this city so it's nice to know there are a handful of clubs that are able to go late aside from the End Up. My only complaint about this club is the sound. Don't get me wrong - it's loud and you can feel the bass a block away but louder isn't always better. The main room has a high vaulted ceiling which is one of the many great things that makes this club unique, however it causes the music to resonate and reverberate making the overall sound a bit tinny and almost hollow unless you're standing right in front of the DJ booth. I bet a few tweaks made by a good sound engineer could make all the difference between having zero aural damage vs. ringing ears for 12 hours. I'll just have to remember to wear my earplugs until that happens. this club is a great club. They consistently book great talent and it will now be a regular stop for me to dance my ass off to quality EDM. Yay! I'm a fan.

This is a bar that has it all. Pool table and shuffleboard in the bar proper (eat your heart out Doc's Clock), a massive patio in the back where they do free BBQ on Fridays, and a back room with a stage where they do live music. Plus, there's tons of great deals to be found here. Mon-Fri 4-9 Happy Hour...half price on well drinks and draught beers. That means 2.50 for a Guinness. And they have free oysters (though not when I was there). All in all, a very friendly place clearly designed for people to kick back, have fun, and drink to their heart's content. I could definitely get used to hanging out here. The patio itself is a particular highlight, especially as it reminds me of the good ol' days, sitting around and drinking in the courtyards at Caltech. But, as San Francisco is not Pasadena, I have one small request: more heat-lamps!

***This is a review of Rassella's breakfast and lunch** -Yes,they serve brakfast and lunch!A gem in a part of town with very very few choices for breakfast. Our server was a beautiful woman who was very sweet. They serve eggs, omelettes, pancakes, bourbon french toast,as well as a large selection of ethiopian dishes.I had the Rassellas special eggs, with jalapeno, onions, peppers, and spices, with hashbrowns-delicious.My friend had the Spicy omelette, filled with chicken, bacon, onions, and spicy peppers-also delicious. The lentil dip with fried pita chips was a surprise-creamy lentil puree with tasty fresh pita. Not something i would usually order-It sounded pedestrian, but was amazingly flavorful.Great coffee and the water was infused with cucumber-nice touch! The family next to us got a large plate of traditional ethiopian food and it smelled incredible. All smiles everywhere.I regret not stopping in sooner.I will definately be back many times to work my way through their diverse menu.Viva la Fillmore! P.S: The clientele was very diverse, racially. That's a good thing, people!
