by Kristopher Wagner on Came here with coworkers while we were here for a conference. This place was our favorite of all (however few) places we tried while staying here. We came here towards the end of our stay and decided to go all out... drinks, appetizers, pasta, and dessert. Of course this was before we knew how generous the portions were, so we had tons of leftovers. The apps we split were a salad, the bruchetta, and the calamari. We each got different pastas, and everything was fantastic. My only regret is that our hotel didn't have a mini fridge for us to take home our leftovers! For dessert, the chocolate truffle mousse... yumm! This place definitely helped ease the tensions of a long and taxing week of lectures and workshops!
by Kristen H. on 2 words: VEGGIE BURGER. Oh my god, this was so amazing, the best damn veggie burger I've ever tasted. (Real vegetables!!) I've only ever eaten there once, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but this alone was worth it. I've made it a regular stop for drinks in Old City. I can't quite put my finger on what makes it so great, but I always want to go back.
by Andi T. on *** This review is for the rateclub Elite party on 1/24. *** Good things: * lovely rateclub folks, as always * free lemon drops were good and chilly, although quite sticky * the front bar staff did a commendable job of trying to get drinks out to a huge, restless crowd * I do love a restroom with handcuffs on the wall * disco balls should always hang out in large groups Not-so-good things: * the dinner went over an hour too long, rendering the large main room usable only to those that had paid * the rest of us (aka "the people") were packed like pickled sardines in the front bar for way too long. I started to plan a mutiny, but then the surly bouncer started letting folks in * most of us didn't hear Nish and Jeremy's speech because we were trapped in the other room * the music was too loud (or I'm old -- a possibility, also a bad thing) * the snacks were few and far between Overall: I liked the decor and general concept of Supperclub, but the event itself was poorly executed. Happily, the rateclub crowd could party its way out of a shipwreck, so not all was lost. A good time was had by most (including me). Thanks!
