by Benita Wiseley on I've been to Ruby Skye for quite a few private parties. The number thing that always comes to mind when I think of this place is "Ouch!" This place has a great sound system but it is way too loud! I know you're thinking, who cares!? I'll bring ear plugs; well, as a huge music lover, promoter and DJ, I'm used to loud speakers in clubs big and small. I'm saying this place is hands down the worst place I've ever been to regarding my hearing's sake. I've worn ear plus here every time I've been, but my ears are always throbbing and ringing for days. It's loudest on the dance floor, and the upstairs only makes it somewhat more tolerable. But when the only thing I'm thinking about while here is how much my ears hurt and when I can leave, I'd have to say, I just don't like this place. The crowd is yuppy and the drinks are pricey. I'll surely come here again for more open bar parties, but I'll know I'll have to stand upstairs, wearing ear plugs the whole time. Then when I'm drunk and temporarily deaf, I'll know it's time to move on to any place else.
by Steve on Greatest bar i've ever been to. Go back every chance i get. A destination for me. The T-shirts are awesome. Love everything about the place. Ya' Can't Beat Fun!
by Kelsey Vega on I never want to like Tao, but I do. I've been here a few times lately for lunch, and the food is very good. I usually go with the prix fixe menu which is great for lunch. Love the duck spring rolls in particular. Service is good and it's a good spot for lunch with a group, as it's generally conducive to conversations. Kind of dark though.
