Every time I've been here I've been here we've gotten a table, and I don't think I would come here unless we did. There's two floors, and they play house downstairs and hip hop upstairs. Not sure about downstairs, but the upstairs gets VERY crowded. I normally avoid the crowd and hang out at the table (which leads me to trouble since all I end up doing is drinking), only braving the crowd to make my way over to the bathroom. Last time I was here the bathroom was DISGUSTING. The worse I have ever seen any bathroom in any drinking establishment in this city, and I have been to over 80 drinking establishments in this city. Pee on the floor, vomit on the floor, no TP, no toilet seat covers, no paper towels, clogged sinks, ewww, ewww, ewww. Seems to me, with all the money they make charging $20 cover charges, they could at least hire a bathroom attendant. On the plus side, the music was good, and I really like the decor of the place- Brick walls, black leather banquettes, mirrors, red ceiling. If they could do a little more crowd control, and keep the bathrooms in order I'd be a fan.

Great place to kick back and relax with a big cheap beer. Comfortable no-frills bar. Super-friendly (if overworked) staff. The food isn't great, but it's as good as I would expect for a little divey spot like this; I like it. Whenever a group of my friends wants to go out together, Oscar's is my first suggestion.

Don't you hate when you walk into a place of business and no one greets you. No hello, no what can I get you to drink, no welcome to .......... What makes it worse is when that same business has staff that is busy guffawin' it up with other customers and they treat you like the plague or like they really don't want your business. Well, unfortunately that was my experience at top flr. I really want to like this place, but bartenders with attitude do not make it easy. Hopefully that was a freak occurrence, but as an African American male this happens all too often. You would be surprised how often a brother in suit at a bar full of white folks in jeans and t-shirts gets ignored.........or maybe not. Great lookin' spot in a neighborhood location; perhaps when you go you will get a greeting and a smiling face. I just think that shouldn't be optional.
