This karaoke place that serves alcohol and has a full bar. WHAT?!?! There aren't much places like this anywhere. I had my birthday celebration here and was not disappointed. Very nice staff. Very nice themed rooms and are very clean. We had the Heineken room but as the party grew, we changed to the room across from there. All the rooms has plasma or lcd screens. Nice! They even serve tasty fried food/snacks. I don't remember much else because I was wasted but only that I had a great time.

I like Minna a lot and there is always something good going on. The bar staff has always been cool, hooked up good drinks not too watered down. Keeping track who is at the bar first and what not so not to have others wait around forever. I really do enjoy the art work there as well as special events. The music, well, usually it's good. They have two rooms and one is usually hip-hop type stuff and other usually some dNb or something to that effect. Way my style. The only draw back is that the door men don't let people in before 10:30 pm when the guest list usually is closed. The hold the line so when you get up to the door, guest list is close and have to pay full price. Typical shit in Hollywood. Bad for business!

A few weeks ago I went to Mango at El Rio with my lesbian crew in tow. We met up with a few out of towners and danced to a mix of pop, hip hop and reggaeton in their beautiful, heated, large patio area. There's just something about dancing under the stars in San Francisco that automatically makes a bar legendary. Obviously, the bars with outdoor patios get more stars and for good reason! You'll always remember that time to swayed to "Umbrella" in the warm-ish open air. The bartenders, the patrons and the atmosphere is all chill. They make a strong, spicy bloody mary and the bartenders are chatty & fun.
