music was decent for about an hour... and then the dj decided to get stupid (too much trance).. plenty of people.. although some should not have been there (it was a pretty ugly crowd).. drinks were ok.. not too expensive (compared to miami, LA or NYC)...

I never want to like Tao, but I do. I've been here a few times lately for lunch, and the food is very good. I usually go with the prix fixe menu which is great for lunch. Love the duck spring rolls in particular. Service is good and it's a good spot for lunch with a group, as it's generally conducive to conversations. Kind of dark though.

I know this is a landmark and famous. It shows. It is really cool that you can drive up, park and a waiter brings the food out to your car and gives you one of those tray things to hang on your window. This is kickin' it old school. If you're into health food and watching what you eat, skip this. However, if you find yourself in need of some calories to prevent a really bad hangover the next day, this is a great spot. The burgers are really sliders and good. The fries and onion rings can be soggy but, again, if you're really in need of this stuff, it can't be beat.
