by Josie M. on went here a few weeks ago on a friday night and it was totally dead. the speakers had blown out and and it sounded worse than music from the headset of my itunes. i ordered a red bull vodka which tasted like crap and discovered it was some generic energy drink. the bartender was kind enough to offer me an exchange and when i requested a malibu pineapple, he said they they didn't have it and showed me a bottle of parrot bay. what kind of place doesnt have malibu??
by Jeannetta Asenjo on Last weekend, my friend accused me of taking her only to restaurants that served fried cheese. Why am I such a sucker for it? The world may never know. But the mozzarella sticks at this place are pretty awesome. They cover them in grated parmesan. We were kind of idiots and I'll totally take it on this part: We ordered the "Mix Famous Tomato Pie" and it was tasty...but we didn't even notice that there was no cheese listed on the toppings. Be warned--it is basically dough with marinara and tons of chopped tomatoes. Only a few dollops of pesto are added. Was it tasty? Yes. But it was only kind of satisfying. I guess I should've drank (drunk?) more Yuengling with it:-) Overall, the service was good, the prices were reasonable, and I am an idiot.
by Jaleesa Edralin on My wife and I made reservations at Sidetracks for Christmas. We showed up at 8p and were seated pretty quickly. Looking around you can tell the owner wanted an upscale feel for his restaurant/bar with all of the dark wood, and low lighting, and even the dress of the waitstaff - very neat. The bar area and the dining hall was full when we were seated - not an empty table. The only issue we encountered while at Sidetracks was the service. It took 15 minutes of watching the waitstaff run about before I decided to flag one down. No eye contact was possible so I grabbed a bus boy and asked for two glasses of water - yes we were not even given that yet. When we did get a waiter sent over he was very short and was rushing us to order. We both thought our meals were good. My wife had the center cut pork chop and I the Black Angus steak. Both were done very nicely. We also thought the desserts were verryyy good: Warm apple turnover and a Chocolate mousse. I would have to agree with others that this is probably a good place to go for drinks and appetizers but don't expect the level of service to come close to the ambiance or food.
