by Kim L. on I tagged along with one of my roommates at the time to support his dj friend spinning that night. My first impression was: Small, club-ish, trying to be swank. Went to the bar to grab a beer. 1 bottle of Budweiser. Six dollars. Are you kidding me?! I only stayed for the support and because I was already there, but never again will I be back.
by Talisha Yamaguchi on Its hip like midcity cafe, but a little more local neighborhood crowd. From the kitchen, I've never met anyone that hasn't liked the food there. I rank their ginger crusted tofu as the best vegetarian eats in Midtown. Friend had the pork tenderloin, and said is was superb. Service was a little slow, but friendly and I'm in no hurry. As a hip little bar, drinks are a little pricey, but heck, its two blocks away and always filled with interesting characters. Seriously, always. Bartenders have a bit of a NYC attitude, which once you accept, makes for an interesting evening. I had some really bad potato vodka there once (it was an experiment), but some great wine.
