Underbar was open when I lived in boston, but it was fairly new and I never got to go. The Sunday before last, when I was visiting for pride, I finally went. It's under roxy and caprice, and I didn't picture that it would be so big. There are three rooms (1 small and 2 large), including vip areas in the 2 larger rooms. At first it seemed kind of maze-like. Overall, I liked it, even though my contacts were bothering me and I couldn't see more than a couple of feet away from me lol. Although it was pride, and gay night, it seemed a little straightish. Even the couples that were making out (and more) around us were straight (at first I thought oh theres 2 lesbians but it turned out to be a guy with long hair lol). I did not have any drinks so not sure on the pricing. The bathroom was clean. I had fun, and I liked it.

When I came here, I was outraged about paying $20 cover for a small little thing in the Tenderloin. When I got in I realized how big the place was. I came in watching the Brazilian dancers on the lighted dance floor. I didn't want to leave but my friends wanted to go downstairs. I wanted to go back upstairs later to watch the dancers, but just when I wanted to go the gogo dancers went on the tables. The only thing I really didn't like about this place was the VIP area. The area is 2 steps away from the main area downstairs. The only separation is literally a step and a rope.

1/28/08 edit: Honestly, I enjoyed the food. I liked it although it wasn't anything exceptional that I'd be raving about. I most note that I am impressed with the management. The manager apparently read my review, and reached out to me by introducing himself in a comment. He DID NOT attempt to threaten me that he'd sue as some businesses have done to other rateclubsers. *roll eyes* AsiaSF, hats off to you and your beautiful ladies, you as well Noah! _____________________________ ORIGINAL: How can you NOT have fun here?!?! a little too cramped and food isn't all that great.
