Not bad kids, not bad. Summer happy hour is so much fun here. Not only is it right on the water, but you're on a boat bitch. The dress code is pretty casual, though a lot of people do head over right after work. I don't recommend heels only because the boat is actually in the water and it does move. The burgers aren't bad either, especially after you've been drinking. It does get really crowded. In fact one time, on Halloween I went to meet up with some friends and there were so many people there I couldn't even get to the bar. My roommate even spilled the contents of her purse, losing her cell phone and other valuables when she tried to elbow her way towards a bartender. Overall though, I personally have had good experiences and nothing but good times at the Frying Pan.

I love slide if you go with a big group of people, have a table and don't have to wait in line. Fortunately I got in in about 30 second and had an amazing time. We had three guys come meet us (and by "us" i mean 10 girls) but the bouncer wasn't having any of it. The line to get in was around the corner so the boys went home crying. :) Ladies - if you want to go down the slide, wear shoes that are easy to get on and off and do NOT wear a skirt or dress! Get bottle service. It gets really crowded and difficult to get to the bar. All in all - great times with the gals!

Don't believe the hype! I guess I'll be the one person in town to crack on Loca Luna. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. I'm seriously hoping that the new location will bring better service and better food, because I didn't find those things at the 6th St. location. The service was deplorable (i'm sorry waitron unit, but did you just jerk the mojito i sent back out of my hand because it SUX?!?!) and I'm just not feelin the fusion-inspired tapas menu. Rigatoni? Mainly I'm OK with the selection of tapas, but I'd call the quality and preparation average at best. My main complaint with Loca Luna is how they try to mess with perfection by manipulating tradition. Who in their right mind makes maduros with cinnamon condensed milk? YUK. And Loca Luna serves possibly the WORST mojito ever created. Actually, it's a sad bastardized derivative of a mojito. There's no pineapple in a mojito, folks, and certainly no sprite or grody sour mix. There's just rum and mint and fresh lime and a little sugar topped off with some club soda. Don't get it twisted. The music and dancing at Loca Luna is the one bright spot. I see Loca Luna as the "I just got my first real job outta college so I'm gonna party and shake my booty with a dozen of my closest friends" kinda place. I'm cool with that but I'm still penalizing them with a one-star rating for misrepresentation of a classic cocktail. That's a serious offense in my book.
