by Glaizll G. on I don't think I'll go to this place again. I LITERALLY JUST GOT BACK FROM THE BANK. Basically, I went to this place on Saturday with my sisters (sorority). I paid for 4 drinks and it totaled $52. I gave $2 tip so my total should only be $54. I have this habit of ALWAYS keeping my receipt and ALWAYS checking my bank account online if I do buy something. I forgot to check yesterday but I checked this afternoon. I was really surprised because they charged me $62.40. I called the place and they said to call back tomorrow. I went straight to my bank. It's kind of upsetting how they couldn't honor my tip and my signature. I wouldn't have to call back tomorrow if they only took the amount that wrote. How can I call back tomorrow when I have work? To continue on why I'd never go to this place... One of my sisters ordered a drink (I forgot which drink), the bartender said that they didn't have that drink. My sister then ordered a BlowJob. When she got the tab, she was really surprised, hers came to $40+ for only 3 shots. My sister questioned her why it was so expensive. The bartender then told her, "the drinks that we use to make it is expensive." I gave her a really weird look. I then asked her where's the whip cream. She then told me "we don't have any." Oh, parking S-U-C-K-S too by the way. No parking. You either gotta find street parking, parking 2 blocks away or you have to do valet. The building at the front of the club is under construction, so theres no parking (only valet) you'd be lucky to find parking near it. Watch out for security hiding at the side watching if your going to try to sneak park ur car in "valet" zone... So yeah, I can see why this place doesn't get good reviews... *edited:* I read the rateclubs reviews about their credit cards. Some dude saw the automatic gratuity. If they did add the gratuity, then it should have been added to the total of the 4 shots so it would still have equaled $52. I added $2 so I signed for $54. Either ways, they over charged me after I signed.
by Jaime Crystal V. on Not really a club.. more of a 'play' lounge..This place is a nicer take on the idea of Dave & Busters. They have pool & bowling..but the liquor gets you drunk quicker! The food is ok.. a little over priced. They used to have 10 cent wings.. Not anymore though. They also used to have ladies drink free on Thursday nights... not anymore.. Overall a fun spot in Queens to check out.
by Bo Kilcrest on ummm....i don't normally go to clubs. but i had a friend in town who wanted to go dancing and a friend of hers who was friends w/ the DJ. I personally feel like all these clubs are the same. But, highlights of Retox were the DJ who loved to hear himself talk. He talked over about every song he played. "Yeah...Uh huh...come on ya'll....yeah.....We're here to partay....yeah..." and on. It was impossible to get into a song. I was severely under dressed for this club because I had not planned to go here, but it turned out to be fine and I was actually glad I was dressed differently than everyone else there who all looked the same. So...yeah I'm not going to waste anymore time on this one...I don't recommend.
