I went to MJQ approx 1 year ago (I know, I'm late on my review) and there was a long line to get in. By the time we waited for the bouncer to allow us entry of this dark-undergound place (across from Dugan's on E.Ponce DeLeon) to "clear" us to go in by taking our money, patting us down, my feet were hurting---I'd gotten horny from all the "pattin,' and sleepy! Once we got inside---there were fierce competitions of break-dancin' with everybody gathered around the dancers in a circle ( I had to peek, because I'm short...lol)...then I knew I was in the wrong place. It's cool, but so 80's to me. It was a younger crowd, so needless to say I am/was 20 years too old to be in MJQ then, and I'm definitely too d*mn old to be in there now!!! lol Not going back unless time reverts back to the 80's!

Worst Christmas dinner ever. After two hours of waiting for our entrees, we finally left. After about an hour and a half the manager came over to our table and said, "Sorry, the food is taking longer than i can..." *trails off and looks at us blankly for a sec before walking away*. Shortly after that, a woman comes over to our table and presents us with our check, and looks honestly surprised that we had not eaten yet. At one point, I went up to the bar myself to get another drink (the wait staff had completely abandoned the entire restaurant at this point), and overheard our waitress asking the bartender, "Do you know if there are any biscuits?" I'm not sure if they ever found any biscuits, but we definitely left with the blues.

Let me begin by saying I went for dinner at 6pm and the place was empty. I chose Tequila Rain as our warm-up before Jake Ivory's. I wanted a place to eat and drink before heading down the street. The menu says Dos XX, but really they didn't have Dos XX, no Corona Light, (don't make fun I'm little), no Sol, no Pacifico, no Negro Medola, nothing! I ended up with a regular Corona. The other girls ordered many of the creamsicles and Aztec tea. I will say I could smell the liquor from my friend's Aztec tea, I sampled the creamsicles and I could definitely detect some alcohol. I don't drink tequila but I don't recall any impressive tequila list. I am still miffed about the Dos XX The chips were stale, but the quesadillas were good. One friend ordered the spinach and goat cheese then didn't finish it... which became the running joke during dinner... "What? Spinach and goat cheese didn't pan out in a quesadilla, who knew". I would go back again after I tried all the other places around Fenway. My guest of honor loved the place, and we did get to sit outside.
