by Debbie L. on The restaurant was fun...then we got the bill. As a local, I know there are SO many places here where you get the SF experience and do not have to worry about taking out a loan to pay your bill. I should have gone to Gary Danko for the prices we paid!
by Jaime Crystal V. on Not really a club.. more of a 'play' lounge..This place is a nicer take on the idea of Dave & Busters. They have pool & bowling..but the liquor gets you drunk quicker! The food is ok.. a little over priced. They used to have 10 cent wings.. Not anymore though. They also used to have ladies drink free on Thursday nights... not anymore.. Overall a fun spot in Queens to check out.
by Boyce Schreifels on My friend had heard about this place for awhile so we decided to check it out after a late dinner at Freeman's. The burlesque cum circus theme was definitely fun and alittle different than any other spot I'd been to. The Russian nesting doll dancer (who was a tranny, of course) was the highlight, though the bondage act with fire was also fun. There was one act with 3 guys doing a musical-step sequence that seemed really out of place...it was like a scene straight out of Stomp the Yard. Kinda random, right? Overall the concept of the Box is great but the crowd that night was blah. Kind of on the older side (I'm talking dudes with beards) and wearing suits and ties. Again, random. Worth checking out at least once but I wouldn't really crave to go back.
