Mickys used to be kinda jank and gross, but since the fire the remodeled place looks a much better. Haven't been in awhile, but I'm sure they still have those drug whore go-go boys gyrating their bits in the hopes you'll stuff a dollar or two in their sweat-ridden nether regions.

This was my first "private room" karaoke experience, so my opinion may be skewed, but as far as karaoke goes, to me this place is amazing! Located in the heart of koreatown, this place has private rooms with nice comfy, CLEAN, quality couches and ottomans for guests to sit on. State of the art sound system. Large flat screens on opposite sides of the room reflecting lyrics/videos. Mike stands for more than one person, remote control for song selections. The large space had the lighting of a nightclub, kinda dark, it made me more comfortable to sing horribly in front of total strangers. Why have I not been here before? I need more Korean friends to put me on to hidden gems like this! From the exterior, you cannot tell this is such an upscale karaoke spot. I'm sure I've passed this many times, and never noticed it.  Previously, I have only been to half-ass bars that "happen" to have karaoke on certain nights, not a full fledged place built strictly for rocking out with friends and loved ones. Yes! This place is perfect for karaoke parties. The night I went, I happened to accompany one of my friends to her co-workers party , so I have no idea how much was paid to rent the room out, we didn't have to pay for anything to participate. Unless you count my priceless contribution of me singing "Purple Rain" for the party guests, (you guys are welcome, by the way, it was my pleasure :) I hope that I get to attend another party here real soon, or maybe one day host my own. The only thing is, I was kinda leary about eating the food here only because it was so late at night, and it seemed more like a karaoke hotel, than a restaurant, so I wasn't sure how good the food would be. Another thing was that the prices for the food were pretty high anyways.
