lol. I have been to ROE too many times in my life. Would actually give it 4 stars because I think the venue itself is pretty good. However, I cant but hate on it because of how disgusted it makes me feel when I think about all those nights there. Ugh.

I like this place. I do. I like the bartender, the drinks are decent. There's a pool table and a jukebox but something is amiss, something even the red velvet wallpaper can't overcome. The vibe is off. Then, I left Waziema after a friend's birthday celebration and within hours i was violently ill. It was stomach flu season but I can't completely dismiss it as food poisoning as my friend also got ill within the day. I'll go back but it won't be for a while.

The club is named eleven50 because it's located on 1150 Peachtree. Now I haven't been here in ages, so I might not be qualified to write this review, but I'll give it a shot. Eleven50 is probably the premier club in the "New Buckhead" area, that part of Midtown on Crescent Street that attracts the kind of folks who would normally party in Buckhead proper. Truthfully it's a really great space-- hip decor, very large, decent drinks. However, I always thought it was too trendy for its own good, with young folks trying to pass off their Banana Republic outfits as haute couture. Some time around 3 or 4 years ago, Liquid Groove began booking their parties here, and all of a sudden eleven50 started attracting world-reknowned DJs like Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontaine, Josh Wink, etc. Prince has played there twice after having his formal concerts in an arena. That alone is reason to go (although admittedly, not good enough for me). It's worth a trip if you're visiting and want to see the hip spots in the ATL. They'll make you feel like you're visiting a club in NYC which is just really a joke since ATL has a long, long way to go before it can compete with NYC. The Buckhead girls will annoy the fuck out of you with their "look-at-me-I'm-drunk" dancing. But it might be fun. A mixed crowd if I recall correctly, but leans more toward the breeders.
