by Rebecca M. on i went to the new queer dance party "WTF" at the cat club on friday night. we got there maybe at 10:30 or so, the doors opened at 9:30, and it was pretty dead. drinks are pretty damn expensive, it was $21 for three drinks. it started picking up as time went by but...i don't know. we left after 2 hours or so. definitely a diverse crowd, a little older than expected, but there were a lot of 20 somethings there as well. i DEFINITELY want to come back for 1984, though.
by Loren Philippi on I had the pleasure of hosting an event at Ecco on Monday evening. Service: top-notch, Food: incredible and Atmosphere: Warm, cozy and elegant at the same time. I had no idea it would be as busy (in a good way) on a Monday night (even aside from the group I brought). I really enjoyed the mussels and the fried goat cheese was incredible (mmmmmmm).
by McCracken C. on Decor was beautiful, too bad the attendees were tragic. The music was 1980s while I was there. Girls dancing on the bar seemed over the top. The floor was over-packed in the already warm building. Far too many drunk fools dropping glass drinks, puking on the dance floor (which thankfully was cleaned promptly), and passing out. I had never seen so many folks who cant hold their liquor in one place! A fight commencing outside, but I was already prepared to leave.
