Since I just finished my leftovers for breakfast, I can honestly say the food holds up well. We went for the 1st time on Saturday night after closing up the bakery - it's one of those restaurants we have driven by a thousand times and always wanted to go in... so glad we finally did! Restaurant and nightclub - but we were there early and the club was not up & running yet... in fact there were several babies & young kids enjoying dinner with their families. We ordered a marguerita & a mojito - both were strong & delicious. We wanted our chicken & cheese pupusa to arrive as an appetizer, but it came with our meals... we will forgive this since everything was amazing. Hubby's 7 Seas soup was creamy & bountiful. Full of shrimp & octopus & crab - the small was more than enough for 2 meals. I had a Chile Relleno stuffed with pork - never seen this before & had to try & glad I did! And I have no idea what they boil their rice in, but it's addicting! Did not even taste the salad, 'cuz who cares about that when you are enjoying homemade tortillas? And the beans were pureed sooth & tasty - unlike any others I have tried. All fabulous! Left 1 star off for tight tables - you are practically on top of one another. And the decor is odd with "football" stuff & signs all over... not sure what effect they are going for... whatever... the food & drinks rock. And the waitress was lovely. Will go back & bring friends & family!

i would not waste your time going here ... i am vegetarian and they have nothing on the menu except an iceberg lettuce salad ! woo hoo !! exciting ... the name is six feet under and its across from an age old grave yard ... i find that to be disturbing. the owner thought it was cute, i don't. HOWever, if you like fish , seafood and beer in a pretty cool bar , then you may like this place.

First of all, I'm not reviewing this place as a night club. I did that once, and once was more than enough. That's all that needs to be said about the night club factor. My purpose was to review this place as a venue. I came here to see Jens Lekman (who's tied for the greatest songwriter of this millenium). I'd last come here to see Elbow (who's leader, Guy Garvey, is the man Jens Lekman is tied with). The sound quality has improved tremendously. In fact, even near the stage as I was today- the sound quality was crystal clear, and you could hear every hilarious, clever and hopeleslly romantic Jens lyric or witty crowd banter. The bar was well stocked and they opened the doors ON time. While I don't like this place as much as The Bowery or Irving Plaza, Webster Hall has gotten its crap together and has become one of the best midsize venues.
