by Mindy L. on This place insn't bad if it's a good weather. They open the rooftop for the dance floor. Music is not bad. I felt this place was better back then than now. The last time I was there, it must of been preppy asian night or something because it was just mad horny a-z-n kids with their back- sweating polo collar shirts bumping and grinding on everyyy singlee girll!!!! gross, VOM* so I peace'd out asap and went to ONE in meatpacking.
by Bradley S. on So I've been here four times and had four different experiences... none of which were bad....but don't get excited cuz none of them really blew me away either. let me explain.... So the first time was with some guy who took me here on a Saturday night while we were doing the whole SMB tour... the music was a bit weird but the drinks were delicious (aren't they always when you're not paying?)... The bartenders were super hot! The atmosphere was really cool so I kept the place in mind... ...which leads me to experience number two! So I was having a date with myself one afternoon (sometimes nobody is better company than me) and decided to stop in here for lunch. I had a pretty fantastic salad (can't remember what it was) at the bar while reading a book.. it was kinda cute... and the service was very nice. Third time I went here for a more filling lunch with my friend. We sat at a table this time... the service was a little slow but the food was worth it. This would be a good time to mention that the crowd definitely isn't anything to write home about. It seems to be usually filled with older gay men who are kind of loud lol... Fourth time my best friend and I went here for Sunday brunch. We sat outside, which ended up being not so great cuz the sun was beating down pretty hard and the umbrellas were not positioned in my favor! I had the eggs benedict as i always do at brunches and we had mimosas (surprisingly there were no free refills)... Waiter was a little creepy but we still had a good time. I'd go again if somebody wanted to take me...but I don't think I'll be suggesting it anytime soon...
by Stephan Weisbaum on Kudos to Jessica T.'s review of Front Page News. She hit it right on the nose. -New in town? Check! -Summertime (almost)? Check! -Just discovered Crescent Street? Check! This mini row of bars and eateries is just up the street from my home so out on a Sunday a few weeks ago Mr. Man and I checked it out. We opted for Front Page News. The patio is spacious and great for good groups of which we saw many. We saddled up to the bar to watch sports and enjoy a bloody mary. I struggle with a menu that appears to be made up of frozen or pre-prepared items. But sometimes hunger prevails so we tried some appetizers. Eh - so so. If I knew a gaggle of people in Atlanta I would invite them all here for a cold drink on a warm day. As for eating - skip it. The best part is watching the servers get catty with each other over their sections and who is being a table hog that day. Very entertaining.
