by mila l. on a very nice space. But kind of big for a lounge spot, since its a resturant durring the day. lots of gorgeous decor. I have only been there are night for the lounge area. the drinks are yummy, and made nicely, although if standing at the bar, you better keep an eye on it because if left for more than 3 minutes, the bartender will take it away! the music was good dance music. lots of drums, good for booty shaking. and not as confusing to dance to as techno! lol the people are pretty nice and friendly. but the doorman can be pretty rough. although they let us in, no problem and no carding, because our friends knew the man well, there was a group of girls as we were exiting, where the doorman wouldnt let one of their girls in because she was "intoxicated" that seems a little strange, because people go there to get intoxicated, and im sure they hold on to their wallets looser after a few drinks. good for a nice relaxed night, or a pit stop. because its in the meatpacking area its convinient to hop to other places.
by Bradley S. on So this review is JUST for the Sunday brunch. Apparently this place has pretty low potential when it comes to the nightlife according to my fellow "reviewers." lol So I went here this morning because my dear dear friend Pooja had a little graduation celebration brunch. The food was REALLY good... and although they have a brunch menu, we opted for the brunch buffet ($28) , which is clearly the way to go. They have just about everything you would need in life... eggs benedict, bacon, salmon, etc etc... But the real treat was the seafood chowder. Can you say TWO huge pieces of lobster in EVERY spoonful? YUM!!! And what Sunday brunch would be complete without mimosas.... no not two or three...but free flowing mimosas.... for only $7 extra. The service was pretty good...nothing spectacular but at least they kept the mimosas pretty well topped off.... Oh and there was a live jazz band..which really makes you feel like you get what you paid for. Besides the spectacular view of the CA-134 and CA-2 interchange lol... All in all... GREAT food... and VERY reasonable prices. Definitely worth a trip if you're looking for something to do on a Sunday.
by Bobby Savickas on Wow, could this be the first Concentrics restaurant that has both style AND substance??? This is based on only one brunch....but it was a 5 star brunch. Has Concentrics finally realized it takes more than atmosphere to make a restaurant? Are they finally concentrating on the food? Parish has dining areas upstairs and a market downstairs. The building was preserved incredibly. The interior was perfect. Our server told us they are concentrating on organic foods, local area ingredients, and of course they are on the whole 'green restaurant' concept. French/Spanish influence, "Parish" obviously points to New Orleans but think 'Garden District' rather than French Quarter. I had the pork grillades with red mule grits and fried egg. My wife had the shrimp burger. Everything was top notch. Oh, and I can't forget the beignets that came out before the meal....very good although smallish and only 3. We need more beignets! The market downstairs has a coffee area, a small section with knick knacks to buy, a small section of wines (and wine tasting) and a back room where you can grab a quicker lunch or breakfast and take it to go or eat it on their downstairs outdoor patio. Also had some fresh pastries and breads. It's a home run for Concentrics. Hooray.
