chances are if you're going here, especially on a Monday night, you already know a lot of the club/bar industry people and are there to party with them. I'd say thats the best night. it's not filled with annoying seemingly underage kids. doesn't open till about 12, and it's pretty small. but there are two spaces too it. top floor where most of the dancing goes on. around the tables. and where most of the smoking goes on too. and not just ciggarettes. The owner smokes, so he doesn't seem to mind. Also it seems at a lof of clubs, if you're willing to shell out a couple hundred or more, theyll throw in a ciggarette or two free. downstairs is more of a small college bar feel. little booths to sit in which is nice, if theyre not already crowded. the bartenders can have a bit of an attitude. and seem to inform you about their prices, if they think you are strapped for cash. informing, but kinda degrading. also informing me on tipping them when I paid for an all you can drink keg. which I usually served myself. I asked for a birthday cake shot on my birthday. The bartender charged me 12 dollars for it. it didn't even taste like it was supposed to. at all. a relatively nice place to throw a birthday party. a group of 6 or more 300 bucks isnt too bad for table service and ketel one is a good vodka! the owner is pretty gracious, almost always there checking on things. I was there one night when the power went off. that was a bit stressful and embarassing. especially when you need to navigate the dark staircase to exit because the main exit is locked electronically. and after you spend time and money in a place and have nowhere to go. I feel bad for those who bought tables that night. all in all its not a bad place to start and meet up with people who can take you other places.

this place is ok its very pretty and alluring ... japanese designer who designed compound designed this one too it is also very afrocentric , and the food is almost direct dissent of HOUSTON"S .. WHICH MAKES sense because the chef used to work there !! HAHA i live near there in "the bluff" and many nights when i drive by there on my way home it appears as if the BET awards just let out ... reason being there are ALOT of people standing around outside . very nicely dressed ....with tons of swanky cars with chrome rims nearby ... it really makes no sense how they pay the bills at this place ... the renovation must have cost a cool million and a half and it never seems to be steadily busy. i witnessed the rennovation from beginning to end !

Are you kidding me? How come no one has told me about this place? I know, it's not a bar you would go to on a typical Friday / Saturday night unless you play some kind of sport. I was here! Yes, on a Thursday night after a softball game.... and boy ...was I surprise. It's effening great for.... after a win or a loss. Who cares? You got good company and great prices on drinks. It's ideal for groups especially for folks like me who love sports in general. That's all I can say. I'm not mentioning we lost BIG time.
