Every time I've been to G Lounge, I've had a great time. I attribute this to the music and ambiance. The DJ spins GREAT music all night and you can't help but dance! The interior is what you'd typically expect from a club/lounge and compared to most of the other "clubs" and "lounges" in Philly, I'd say this is the only true club/lounge in Philly. (I've been to Recess, Club27, Shampoo, and a number of other places at some point.) Unfortunately G Lounge realizes this and charges $20 cover on Saturday nights, possibly Friday nights as well. However, if you get there before 10PM on Friday, there is no cover. They also occasionally do the "fake line" and have a line out the door when it isn't even packed inside. So get there early if you don't want to wait! Drinks are a bit pricey, but usually made well. The music is pretty loud so if you want to have a conversation, this isn't the best place. The crowd varies, tends to be trendy yuppies just trying to have a good time (from what I've seen.) The bartenders are friendly and quick. Even when the bar is packed I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes, or so feels, for a drink. My friends have also worked with the management there to do an open bar for their birthdays. No complications. If you want to just let loose and dance the night away, this is the place to be!

Im not really the type of girl that goes partying!! But once i do i better have fun!! SOO i have been to Providence 2x for friends B-day on fridays!! and well the place has 3 floors . the music is great. Especially the bottom floor which has latin music. The place is a decent size  and well it doesnt get too crowded which is great cuz u dont want to dance as if u have ur hands tied up. The bartenders are ook.... dont smile much but hey who cares as long as you get some liquid in ur system ( dont say alcohol cuz i dont drink). But yea the place is pretty cool especially when u go with a good crowd!!

I don't understand why this place exists! Yes, it's an institution but so is prison really isn't it? The chili will give you the runs I can guarantee, the hot dogs are okay but the onion rings are pretty good. There's plenty of seating and plenty of parling. It's kind of gimmicky with all these souvenirs you can buy. The people that work there are rude and incoherent. It's like they're bored and bothered that you actual want to eat there. I'd rather go to Chick Fil-A.
