I went to Infusion Lounge's restaurant for dinner. I thought the food was decent, but significantly overpriced for what it was. Ambiance was pretty cool. Felt like we were in a cave with cool up-lighting. Service was good at the beginning, but we were one of the last reservations of the night, and we felt a bit rushed towards the end as they tried to convert our dining area into the nightclub dance floor. They started moving all the other tables out and moving in other props.

My lady friend and I were craving some delicious wings, and might have even typed in "delicious wings" to our rateclubs search. We scanned a few reviews and top 10 lists before finding National Mechanics. I was surprised to hear such praise for a spot that I lived near but never heard of. Plus, they had corn dogs! The decor was unique, I liked it. Kind of a mechanic theme, go figure. There was a lot of space for a restaurant. We left before the night time crowd, but it looked like it would have been a comfortable bar. There was a bachelor party beginning as we left, and a DJ making unimpressive music. Like many Philly food stops, Mechanics has a nice beer selection. Not necessarily extensive (maybe 6 on tap, 15 more bottles... don't quote me on that), but diverse. I had one of my favorites, I think a Lagunitas but I forget which one. We got fish and chips, corn dogs, and wings that did not disappoint. As you may know, Buffalo wings are basically butter and hot sauce, add some spices, and that's it. Cook on low heat for a long time or deep fry. I'm not sure what National Mechanics does, but here's my guess. Soak them overnight in some kind of water-based herb marinade, maybe boil or poach them in the same marinade, and then pan cook in the buffalo sauce. Delicious. You should try them with a corn dog and oddity beer fav. The fish and chips were good too. I've become accustomed to paying a lot for good food, but there's no price on getting exactly what you want. And this all added up to about $40 I think.

Our salsa instructor wasn't too good she taught way too fast for a beginning lesson. Great venue, I prefer the downstairs room since it was much cooler, upstairs was way too hot. Most of the folks there are pretty cool though you have to watch out for the few molesters, they usually are guys with their shirts button down to their belly button. EWWWWW. I, unfortunately, had deal with a miniaturized one, don't be a dumbass like me and say you're a beginner, since for those type of guys, that means, they think they can trick you into thinking that grinding and forcing you to sit on his leg is salsa dancing....uh NO. Ladies, walk away from those types even if you're mid-dance. You're not being rude, he is. BTW I would invest in some dancing shoes since be ready to dance if you come here. Everyone gets a chance, which is nice. 8)
