by Denny Figge on This place sucks. Since this place was notorious for the long lines, my friends and i showed up early but we still stood in line for about an hour. Thing that really made me mad is that it wasn't even crowded when we were finally let it, they just hold you outside making you think that it's popping in there. The music is also WAY TOO LOUD in here, i mean i love going out but this place will blow your eardrums out. The bouncers think they are drilled sargents in the military and the drinks are overpriced. Don't waste you time paying for cover ($20), standing in line for hours and getting crappy drinks. Go next door to Slide instead.
by Teddy d. on *** 1984 is still going strong*** I remember the Frist time I went to 1984 it was back in 2000 when Bambi was only 18( big ass lie) and Peter Garcia from Amber took me here after a fight with his GF and we had a blast. 2 boys one straight and one QUEEN (OK Big Bottom) got trashed and we both ended up with a bruise and a hickey. So fast forward 2007 and Babmi has been hanging out with a certain someone whom we shall call Mr Chopper (he is a helicopter pilot) from ITALY and happens to be a BIG FAN of THE 80's. He is here visiting his GF but seems to be having a man crush on Bambi (this Bambi is such a home wrecker) and has been making the rounds every night since last Sunday hitting all the bars Bambi style. So Thursday night Bambi had to work but somehow was able to get the night off and headed here with MR Chopper and his friends whom we shall call the FENDI girls. Enter CAT CLUB the place is jam packed and the DJ is playing Karma Chameleon. So we skip the bar and head straight to the dance floor. After a few minutes Babmi feels thirsty and heads straight to the bar as Mr Chopper follows leaving the FENDI Girls to fend for themselves (oops...I did it again). After the bar it was smoking time and Bambi and Mr Chopper head to the side of the building (I never knew they had a smoking area until last night) and start chatting it up while enjoying the music and the crowd which by the way surprisingly very friendly and a good mix. So while we are in the back Mr Chopper informs me that he knows the DJ and has been friends with him for quite sometime. And I am like oh u mean Ms Thing? ...oh baby she is a big Bottom...to which he replies...I know... With that said back to the real deal...they pour well, the crowd is fun and the music will take you back to the old days (unless of course you were born in the 80's like Bambi...another big ass lie to close this review).
