I KNOW the club business, I worked in Hollywood nightlife for 5 years, at every club you can name...I get it. 20 gorgeous females and 10 guys, dressed to impress, well beyond the scope of the dress code. A table and bottles had been reserved WAY in advance, we were told all we had to do was arrive; yet, before we could even step out the limo, we were told we weren't welcome in. Why? I could go in to lengthy detail, but it wouldn't matter because even the staff couldn't come up with an answer other than "no, no way, just because". Not a single valid reason in the 20 minutes we tried to figure out the issue. It's called a power trip. Knocked Up quotes it best, "You're a doorman, doorman." If you want to throw your attitude and be a big man, do so to the general admission line, not people who are buying bottle service. In the end we chose to walk to another club where a door staff and management team had the business savvy to accept a 2:1 female ratio group that spent major $$$ at their bar...Thanks Temple!
by dan z. on I think the food was good, the service needs serious improvement. we went there with friends to have dinner on a Saturday at 6PM. When we came in the waitress did not greet us or show us any attention. when we asked to have a table she seemed to be annoyed and told us we could have any table (the place was empty, but most tables had a 'reserved' sign on them). Not a great welcome..... the food was good and we liked it, however, they forgot to bring us the appetizer that we had ordered. The waitress was very apologetic and asked if she could bring the appetizer later. well, we did not feel like having the appetizer AFTER the main course. They could not provide me with sugar for my tea, because they were out of sugar. there was a rock band getting ready for the gig in the next room, but they did not play until later. all in all I would not go back. there are too many other great restaurants in SF that deserve to be checked out. they had their chance but they messed it up.
by Dick Minicucci on Had a dinner here with friends on Saturday night and was very pleased. Didn't have to wait much for our table (Props to our waiter Edwin) and the staff made for great eye candy! The meal was a bit on the expensive (if your in the meat packing, expect to spend some cash) side but well worth it. Will def be coming back.
