It's absolutely necessary that this city has a consistent after-hours space. It's kind of a bummer that the Endup is the only one. But one of the cool things about being the only legit after-hours club in town is that everyone will eventually show up here. You'll hit that one night where all the other parties get shut down or you just can't find somewhere better to be at 3 am and soon enough - look where you'll end up. This place is strange, but in a good way... that San Francisco kind of strange.

I was invited to have brunch at Trudy's for Father's Day by my son, step son, and wife. I have been eating at Trudy's Central since they opened in 1978. I have never eaten at this Trudy's location and not been satisfied. They make the best Migas I have ever eaten and alwasy have. I think they invented them. Sunday the service was very attentive, the food was hot and tasty and the experience very much what I have always experienced. In all the years I have eaten there. My son ordered pancakes. Everyone at the table tried them. They were awesome with the pecan butter and hot maple syrup. They were also huge. I can't end this review without talking about Trudy's orange juice. They squeeze it fresh and it is always the best.

UPDATE: I came back this weekend, and I have to say, since they were playing better music, I changed my mind about this place. The venue is nice - there are three rooms playing different music - but you BETTER know someone if you wanna come here unless you want to stand in a ridiculously long line and pay a ridiculous cover. ================================================== == I paid $20 cover and waited in line for over 30 min, and when I walked in I found out it was Trance. I HATE trance. They have a basement that really smells like... a basement, but they were playing something that resembled hip-hop there so I spent most of my time here hanging with some old ladies and Asian kids. Good times... It's a pretty little venue, just make sure you check out who's DJ-ing first and get on the guestlist if possible. Free parking a couple blocks south of here.
