Came to Bruno's on a Saturday night for a friend's bday. Free before 10pm, $10 cover after. Bf and I parked at 9:50, walked over to the line, go in at 9:58, sweeeeet! Downstairs is split into restaurant area on the right and lounge/bar on the left. Bar/Lounge: The Dj was spinning in the lounge area, but it was still fairly empty. Great range of music, from top 40s in the 90s to present day stuff you hear on the radio. DJ took requests and kept the crowd alive. Place didn't get packed until about 11pm. Only 1 bartender in the lounge area -- wasn't particularly friendly, but fast on the drinks. Restaurant: Wondered into the restaurant area when the birthday girl came. There's another small bar here, with shots stations. The bartender here was on fire. Anytime you look, there's no line. She's THAT fast. Shots ranged from 6 (soco and lime) to 8 (patron). She also made drinks, but they were a bit on the weak side. Pussycat Lounge: There's a pussy cat lounge upstairs with some poles. This room had plenty of seating and its own private bathroom. Was quite empty when we first came up (around 11pm) but quickly got crowded at 11:30pm. There's also 1 bar upstairs, but the bartender was WAY slow. They need to staff more bartenders here, as the wait for a drink can be up to 20-30 minutes. Overall a pretty good night. Good music, good mixed crowd. The only thing I'd say is that it got way too crowded and hot inside. I'd come here early but it can be unbearable after midnight.

Disclosure: I hate clubs and most of those who frequent them. Call me judgey pants all you want - but I am a total hater. The music, the scene, the price.... UGH. The Park had the bad music down. The scene wasn't nearly as bad as most clubs, especially in the immediate area. The crowd was slightly more casual than those at the neighboring clubs as well, though there was still a serious faction of girls wearing what I must assume were shirts and not actually dresses. If I can see your birth canal when you bend over, it's definitely too short. Here's the deal with The Park. Expensive drinks (which I have to admit were at least strong as hell) and average food. Terrible service in the restaurant area. Mixed crowd as far as age/style for both the restaurant diners and the late nighters. No cover, though. The selling point of this place was the lounge area, which is dotted with large trees, a high glass/open ceiling, stone benches and cute outdoorsy furniture. Though you can't smoke there, despite the fact that you are TECHNICALLY outside. That was my favorite spot by far. The indoor areas were about 1000 degrees and the upstairs was packed and loooooud. I believe it's uncovered in decent weather, though with this summer, who remembers what that's like? Like I said, total hater. I did really enjoy sitting underneath the trees with some distance between me and the grinding/making out faction. Did I enjoy it enough to go back? No. Neither the restaurant nor the late night faction was all that impressive. Skippable fo' sheez.

I think there is always two big factors when it comes to reviewing night clubs. 1. The people you go with. 2. How drunk you get. So depending on that its ALWAYS a hit or a miss. I was getting free drinks all night so I had a dandy time...However, the drinks were a little weak 'cause I couldn't get over the hill from buzzed to sloppy drunk. =( haha. I went here on a Friday Night, crowd was mixed and the place was packed. 3 Levels so the size of the place isn't too bad for a SF club/bar. Downer is $20 cover, so get on the glist if you can unless you wanna avoid the line.
