Went to Genki for the first time last night after Tin Lizzie's was too packed to get a table. The valet parking was very convenient, and seeing as I hate parking my pickup truck in Buckhead it was worth the $5. We walked in at 830 and were sat immediately. The server was prompt with our drink/appetizer orders. We got the edamame which was good. For my main course I got the Olympic Roll, and the Blackened Tuna Roll. Both were excellent. The only minor complaint would be the size of the Olympic roll, I prefer bit size sushi, and this roll is quite large. Almost too large. Almost. After dinner we stayed around for an extra beer. This meant we stayed past the 10PM closing time. They didn't seam to have any problem with this, they just went about their business cleaning up the tables and getting set for the next day. The only issue was that they valet leaves at ten. He brought me back my keys and told me he had moved the car up to the front of the restaurant, which was nice. The problem was that when I got into my car after the meal, I realized he had left my doors unlocked. I was not a big fan of this, as I had just had my car broken into a couple of months ago. Nothing was stolen, but still, you shouldn't leave cars unlocked on the street. All in all it was a good experience. Good food/drinks, decent service at a normal sushi price. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

There are many things and places that bear the name "TEMPLE." There is the wonderful drink and actress Shirley Temple, the famous Temple University, even arguably one of the greatest competition shows of all time Legends of the Hidden Temple. However, the Temple Nightclub is a far cry from these other great TEMPLES and should not even be mentioned in the same sentence! Let me start off by stating the few positives of this establishment. The decor is unmatched, extremely spectacular and pretty swanky! The demographic was actually quite mixed which was surprising seeing as I was told it was mainly an Asian club. There were numerous African Americans, Caucasians, and even middle-eastern people, which is always a plus. Lastly, there was EMTs on staff and ready to help! Don't mistake these "EMTs" for bouncers who are escorting the drunkards out the club, no no no! These "EMTs" were legit...they wore gloves. While the EMTs were wearing T-shirts with EMT written on them, I felt that the DJ's should have worn the same T-shirt, but his standing for "EXTREMELY MUSICALLY TERRIBLE" Temple Nightclub has two dance floors, a Techno/House dance floor upstairs, and an underground Hip-Hop dance floor (Racist Much?) I can't comment on the upstairs DJ because all Techno music sounds like an extremely violent car crash to me, however I can surly opine about the Hip-Hop music. It was downright terrible. No radio hits, No full songs, hardly any English songs, and nobody was dancing. It seemed like everyone was waiting for a good song to dance too, which never came. As a DJ at a club your job is to get people dancing, I wish this DJ would have stepped into my office so I could have fired him for the music he was playing. I heard better noises coming out of the bathroom than what this DJ played! I mean I saw more people dancing to my friends dry heaving than what this DJ considered music. Bottom line the music was a travesty. There are other things that made Temple Nightclub not very enjoyable (Expensive drinks and Expensive entrance fee if not on the guest list) but the music alone should deter most people from coming here. Temple Nightclub was disappointing but not a complete waste. It had its strong points and its weak points. At the end of the day I compare Temple to an elegant and classy women who has everything going in the looks department but you find out she's deaf

We went here for a victory beer after winning trivia. It has a fun feel to it. I'm not a pool/air hockey sort, but hey, they had alcohol and that is really all I require. :-)
